Welcome to the TCM Reflections Hub
The home for thoughtful, experience-driven interpretations of the ideas shaping business today.
While individual pieces live inside subcategories, this page introduces what Reflections are—and how they offer something distinct within the TCM ecosystem.
TCM Reflections are personal, insight-rich interpretations of existing concepts—books, frameworks, research, tools, or widely accepted business ideas.
Rather than summarizing or explaining the source material, Reflections examine what these ideas spark in real leaders and practitioners: how they resonate, how they challenge, how they evolve when encountered in practice. They are opinionated, grounded in lived experience, and designed to clarify, critique, or reimagine what we think we already understand.
How Reflections differ from other TCM formats
- Articles:
Articles present a focused, original idea in 650–850 words. Reflections respond to existing ideas—evaluating, interrogating, or expanding them through personal perspective. - Perspectives:
Perspectives are long-form, structured arguments that explore a single viewpoint in depth. Reflections are more exploratory, rooted in interpretation and the author’s interaction with a concept rather than a linear thesis. - Dialogs:
Dialogs unfold through conversation. Reflections are an individual’s internal conversation made public—an introspective take rather than an exchange between voices. - News Items:
News tells you what’s happening. Reflections help you understand what longstanding ideas mean in today’s context, informed by lived experience rather than events.
What you’ll find in Reflections
- Interpretations of classic or modern business books
(not summaries—personal reactions, takeaways, challenges, or surprises) - Critical takes on established frameworks or tools
exploring where they shine and where they fall short in real practice - Experience-based responses to research findings
connecting data to real-world behaviors, organizational dynamics, or leadership contexts - Opinion pieces sparked by an accepted concept
where the author uses the idea as a launchpad to explore what it means in their world - Evaluations shaped by lived stories
grounding well-known theories in the actual experiences of leaders, practitioners, and thinkers
For Readers
